Michael Gordon presented to the AFS (Association of Friendly Societies) Compliance Forum on 23 September 2004. He covered the implications new regulation flowing from Basel II and Turnbull for Friendly Societies, the need for an integrated and coherent response from each Friendly Society, and the principles that should be adopted in putting such a response.



 Operational Risk Management in e.business - July 2nd 2004

Michael Gordon spoke at the ILAG (Investment and Life Assurance Group) Operational Risk Management Seminar on 2 July 2004. Michael spoke on “Operational Risk Management in e.business”. His presentation provided a roadmap for both achieving compliance with regulatory requirements (most notably Basel II) and achieving bottom line benefit. The presentation is available on request.

 Outsourcing Conference - February 25th/26th 2004

Steve Griffin chaired the SMi Conference on Outsourcing for Financial Services on 25th/26th February, as well as running a day workshop on International Best Practice in Outsourcing for Telecoms and IT on 15th/16th March. The presentations given at those events are available upon request.

 Conference on "Reducing Credit Card Churn - September 17/18th 2003

Michael Gordon spoke at the SMi Conference on "Reducing Credit Card Churn" held in London on the 17/18th September. Michael's presentation entitled "Understanding Churn, Building Loyalty and Migrating to Top of Wallet" is available upon request.

 Outsourcing Conference - January 27th/28th 2003

Steve Griffin spoke at the IIR ‘Business Process Outsourcing in the Financial Services Sector’ Conference in Mayfair. A copy of his presentation is available upon request.

Steve chaired the SMi Conference on BPO and Offshore Outsourcing in the Financial Sector on the 9th/10th and 11th April 2003, and run a half-day executive briefing on BPO contracting.
